New Module: Requirements and Verification Management (RVM)

ECLIPSE 9.0 introduces the all-new Requirements and Verification Management (RVM) Module, a powerful tool for teams managing complex project requirements.

RVM enables users to define, review, trace, and manage requirements in real time, ensuring transparency and auditability throughout the lifecycle.

It provides end-to-end traceability, version control, and collaboration between stakeholders, with full integration into the broader ECLIPSE environment.

• User roles and access control
• Custom metadata configuration
• Requirements specification tree
• Excel import/export for bulk updates
• Integration with other ECLIPSE modules (AIM, DCCM, PAM)

Related Items:

Related Items functionality across core modules has been enhanced to integrate the new RVM module.

Users can now:

• Relate Requirements from RVM to existing items in AIM and DCCM.
• Maintain secure and traceable relationships across modules.
• Create new items directly as Related Items, improving project linking and context management.

These updates strengthen cross-module collaboration while maintaining strict security and data integrity.

RID

PAM Role Privilege Improvements

RID now supports greater flexibility in role configuration:

• The Import RIDs function can now be enabled via the Import Privilege for users with review access.
• This feature, previously limited to Review Managers and Admins, enhances customization and control in review workflows.

NCTS

Archived Metadata Improvements

Enhancements to NCTS improve how archived metadata values are handled when updating NCR statuses.

• If a value from a picklist, ratio, or checkbox field is archived, it will now remain retained on the NCR when progressing to a new status.
• This ensures better consistency and historical accuracy across status transitions.

PAM

Requirement Tree

A new Requirement Tree has been added, providing a project-specific structure linked to RVM. This enables users to visualize and organize requirements alongside existing Folder and Product Trees within PAM.

RVM User Roles

RVM-specific user roles have been introduced, allowing precise configuration of permissions and actions within the RVM module. A full list of privileges and descriptions can be found in the PAM User Guide.
