We are excited to announce that we have just launched our latest ECLIPSE Software Suite, version 5.4 on the 17th of April. In this version, we have made changes to the user interface in order to give it a fresh look and facilitate the navigation through the application.
In addition, the following new helpful features have been introduced, which we believe are bringing great value to the ECLIPSE Suite users:
- Automatic text extraction from PDF documents when registering them in the Document Configuration and Change Management (DCCM) module is now available, providing auto-fill options for the core metadata fields.
Apart from being a time-saver, these two features are bringing both quality and higher accuracy of the captured metadata.
- Additional keyboard shortcuts have been introduced across all ECLIPSE Suite modules. Navigating through documents, records, RIDs, Action Items, and NCRs has been made easier and is now a matter of a few simple keystrokes.
- The practical feature ‘Edit in Context’, already implemented in the Action Items Management (AIM) and the Non-Conformance Tracking System (eNCTS) modules within a previous release, has also been extended to the DCCM and the Review Items of Discrepancy (eRID) This feature can be especially instrumental within eRID Reviews when going through the RIDs without any need of going into the Edit RID screen.
- The oData feed feature has been extended to the DCCM and the Database Application Builder (DAB) modules. This feature was already implemented within AIM, eNCTS, and eRID in the previous ECLIPSE Suite release, and one of its main benefits is that it is enabling visual exploration and analysis of the ECLIPSE data using connected Business Intelligence tools.
